Jim Jones is an educated man but he's much too modest to tell you that himself. His dog Jack would probably tell you a story or two though. Jack's an older fellow who's seen a few desert summers come and go. An ailment causes him to walk around with his head tilted to the side, with a quizzical look on his furry mug, as if one ear may be heavier than the other or perhaps he's not sure what he's seeing. I knew what I was seeing, some of what was running amuck in Jim's mind, but I was wondering if I came back at night after a few beers and the lights were off would I wake up in the morning with my head tilted to the side like Jack? If so I hope folks as kind-hearted as Jim and his wife Darcy take me in. At least then Jack and I can look at each other when all that stuff on the Navigator's head begins to revolve and say, "hell no I didn't see it move and either did you. <Blink Blink> Now go back to sleep."
